THE FOLLOWING STUDENTS ARE SCURRENTLY ATTENDING KALUNGO NURSING SCHOOL AND REQUIRE FINANCIAL SUPPORT
Kanyankole FrankI am a 24 year old, Ugandan male from Kabale district in western part of Uganda. I came to Kalungi seeking for help from Dr. Kizza Peter, after my advanced level when I had failed to join university due to lack of school fees. I joined Kalungi nursing school when it was training nursing
assistants. I had finished the course for nursing assistant. I have been helping at Kalungi medical centre free of charge since I finished. When the school was licensed to teach enrolled nurses, I decided to apply and upgrade to be an enrolled nurse. I was admitted to study but I am finding it very difficult to pay fees and get all necessary materials to study successfully. I had a dream, of become a medical worker since primary school, so that I can care for the sick I could see suffering while others dying due to lack of health workers including nurses to provide care. I hope to be more able to help the sick when I complete this course. I hope to continue helping at Kalungi medical centre in future when given the opportunity. I pray for any help to complete this course so that I care for the sick. May God bless you. |

Nayiga IreneI am a 20 year old female nurse student at Kalungi School of nursing, first year. I completed my primary at St. Jude primary school, Lukaya in 2004 and senior 4 at Royal college s.s in 2010. We were a family of 11 children; 6 boys and 5 girls. Unfortunately, both our parents died and our
grandmother took over the role of looking after us. Some have managed to study beyond primary but most stopped in primary school. I was lucky to finish senior 4, but I could not proceed due to lack of fees. when I heard announcements of Kalungi school of nursing opening, I applied, got admitted but I could not afford to pay fees. I have been struggling with money paying vey little. If not for the mercy of the director and administration I would have been chased out of the school by now. I hope to help the sick more, since nurses are very few in Uganda. I hope to work in any part of Uganda and also upgrade further if conditions allow. I therefore sincerely and humbly request for financial support to my education to become a nurse. Thank you. God bless you. |
Nalubega ShadiaI am a 19 year old female student at Kalungi School of nursing. I was born on 14th June 1993, in Kidda Masaka district. I completed my primary level at Hill Road public school in 2005 and O’ level in 2009 at Bwala secondary school. I live with both my parents, with 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Both my parents are peasant farmers. I heard an announcement over the radio of Kalungi nursing school and I decided to join. I was inspired to do nursing because there are few in our area and I see many people dying without care. However, my parents being peasant farmers, with overload of other brothers and sister, my
parents cannot manage to support me fully through this course. They have been paying in very small installments at the expense of my other siblings’ education and welfare. Even then, they have not fully completed the fees. I therefore humbly request any volunteer who can help me with fees to complete this course. May God bless you and your hands. |
Najjuuko RestyI am Resty, 26years old studying at Kalungi School of Nursing. I was borne on 28th January 1985. I finished primary school in 1999 and secondary school at Kayunga s.s, Masaka, district. I live with my grandmother, a peasant farmer. I have 2 sisters and 2 brothers. I was brought by aunt to Kalungi. I was inspired to study nursing by my aunt, who used to be a nurse and I would like to care for sick people and improve their lives. I
welcome any support for fees to help me enhance my academics, and my auntie has her family to take care of, which makes it hard to afford fees. May God bless you. |
